Yes, it’s even recommended to install the latest official firmware first before performing the jailbreak update.
Oppo UDP & Cambridge Audio CXUHD running official firmware: You do not need to open your player. The jailbreak firmware can be installed easily via USB update.
UDP / CXUHD already running custom or jailbreak firmware: You may first need to reinstall official firmware in order to use the easy USB installation method. If that is not possible, installation requires opening the player and flashing the firmware via a USB-TTL serial interface connected to the player’s mainboard.
All Oppo BDP models: The easy USB installation method is not available. These models require opening the player and flashing the firmware via USB-TTL.
Important: For BDP-105(D) and UDP-205 models, the internal audio boards must also be removed to access the flash port. If you are not comfortable doing this, it is safer to stay on stock firmware or have the procedure performed by a professional.

Yes, Darbee models have different hardware/processing capabilities but the exact same firmware as standard BDP-103/105 models.
No. Opening the player does not automatically void the warranty, because the housing is not sealed. As long as no hardware is damaged, it is generally not apparent that the player has been opened.
That depends on the model and on your experience. The USB-TTL procedure itself is fairly quick and relatively straightforward for BDP-103, UDP-203, and CXUHD models. For BDP-105 and UDP-205 models, the process takes longer and requires more care, because internal audio boards and connectors must be removed and reinstalled afterwards correctly. If needed, we can guide you step by step over video conference free of charge.
For Easy USB method you just need a blank USB drive. For USB-TTL installation, you need a computer running Windows 7, 10 or 11. Mac users can use a virtual Windows installation, for example via Parallels Desktop.
There will be no more firmware updates, as Oppo decided to stop building blu-ray players.
Yes. If your player uses the USB-TTL method, we can provide detailed instructions for restoring stock firmware. If your player uses the easy USB installation method, you can simply overwrite the jailbreak firmware with the official stock firmware, just like a normal firmware update.
Region switching is done by changing the Disc Menu Language in the player’s setup menu: English = Region A, French = Region B, Chinese = Region C
If you want to use region switching provided by our firmware by changing the Disc Menu Language you need to remove your hardware mod kit. if you want to use region switching provided by your mod kit by entering remote codes just leave it installed.
No. Our firmware officially supports only true 1:1 copies or rips of original SACD discs. Self-authored SACD-R discs are not supported.
Yes. The latest jailbreak firmware versions for UDP and CXUHD players support script execution, including AutoScript-style use cases.
Yes. We provide detailed written instructions and can assist you during installation if needed. Support may include step-by-step guidance via email or video-conference, depending on the situation.
Our firmware is tested and works reliably under normal conditions. However, due to variations in hardware modifications, previous firmware installations, or user setup, we cannot guarantee compatibility in every individual case.
Our jailbreak firmware is safe when installed correctly and we provide detailed instructions to guide you through the process. However, as the procedure involves modifying the player’s firmware, it is carried out at your own risk. We cannot be held responsible for any damage resulting from the installation.
Due to the digital nature of our products, refunds are generally not offered. However, if you experience issues, we will work with you to resolve them. In cases where a problem cannot be resolved, a refund may be considered after verification via a live video session, where the issue is clearly demonstrated. Refunds are only considered if the issue is clearly reproducible and not caused by incorrect installation or unsupported modifications.
